There's a first time in everything...
It's the first time in the history of S'pore to allow an exhibition on Sex.
Went down on Sat with a friend (he requested not to publish his name on this blog, shall respect his wishes...)
It’s pretty crowded, despite that entrance fee of $15.
The only regret is that I never bring my camera along, didn't think it was allowed...
The exhibits are quite interesting. Ancient Chinese do have a "discrete" way of propagating sex, Hidden pictures in fans, potteries, harmless looking ornaments, hidden compartments in jewellery box etc... Though some of the art works doesn't really look that ancient.
So pornography existed earlier than I thought.
While we were there, we were introduced to "trantic sex" by the author of “The Complete idiot guide to Tantic Sex”. After hearing, I then realize that trantic sex have nothing to do with sex at all, it's more on communication between couples. Consider quite an interesting find.
Other than the exhibits, there are booths selling sex toys- harmless looking ducky/penguin that vibrates, vibrating condoms (selling like hot cakes- my friend even bought a few). There are also supplements to boost your libido, ointments for pleasure etc. I didn't buy a thing, Som Pah! (Som Pah= hokkien for 'I swear')
Due to time constraint, we did not attend any workshop. Though most of it was cater for ladies interested in erotic dancing.
Really enjoy the exhibition, but didn't think its really worth that $15.

Michael Chua: Yes, NJS is my initials. Think the Sexpo a good start anyway.
As much as some people may deny, Sex played a crucial role in "Community building". Since its part and parcel of life, one should give their best shot to enjoy the most of it.
From the exhibits, we can see that Chinese have a unique way of propagating this subject. The positions and apparatus used may not be less than that of the most famous Karma Sutra.
