Living with the Alternatives...

Do you accept the alternatives of life?

Today went to Safra for a swim.
Manage to swim finish 30 laps of breaststroke...

Had worked up a lion's appetite...
So went to the nearest fast food joint and order quite a meal for replenishment...
Due to fact that its nearly closing time for the joint, the items were limited. The waitress serves me everything less one item she says will be delivers to my table.

After finishing everything, the item still wasn't delivered. So, I make an inquiry.

It happens that the waitress had forgotten about my order and some other colleague had taken the item for another customer.

The manager came to apologies for the mistake and offers me an alternative choice, if not I have to wait for another 15-20 mins for the item I ordered.
I reluctantly agreed to taking the alternative and she end up giving me more than the usual helping...

Life is filled with this kind of scenarios...
Can we simply accept alternative? If there's a choice?
Like choosing a life partner, the person we like was already taken by somebody else...
Should we wait for him/her (may be futile), or should we settle for the second choice?

Do you accept the alternatives of life?

It all depends on the situation. If i'm hungry and want to be filled fast. I would have no choice but to settle for the alternative. I hate LJS. Long John Silver or Lao Jui Sai. Always make me wait long long. The food also not very clean one. That's why can eat already can Lao Jui Sai ;p

With regards to choosing a partner. My motto is grab the first one that tells you the attraction is mutual :) Ha, ha, ha... :D That's what i did because until 25 years old, i didn't have any girlfriend. All the while, all the girls i've expressed interest in, all of them told me the attraction was not mutual ;p

Only thing I like about LJS is the bell! Always loved to ring-a-bell there.

Well, me still looking for the one that the attraction is mutual... Lucky you!

Yes, you are right that I didn't have a girlfriend by now.

Not that there's no mutual attraction but it happens at a wrong timing.

When the girl is interested, I was interested in another girl (who is not interested in me). When my interest for the former grew, she found another.

Sighz. Another grandfather story.

And there are other girls in my life, that I find no romantic incline in and just remain as ordinary friends.

Tough luck.
