Last Thursday, met up with Norman to catch this fantastic movie @ Cathay AMK Hub.
This cinema has quite a nice feel. Maybe because everything is still brand new...
We bought the 7:20 tickets. Got into the cinema at 7:30, to our disappointment- the movie already started! Thought there would be some trailers and advertisement. But nevertheless, we didn't miss out too much.
Its action pack from beginning to the end. The plot wasn't too fantastic, but the overall flow of the movie is quite good. Bruce Willis still got that magic in his acting. Of course, there's Maggie Q, even though her parts were not so much. Its a movie for you if you are like action. From beginning to the end, Bruce Willis is the hero. One man show. The unstoppable. Got that very America individualism- "I did it MY way". The police arrived at the end of the show right after all the villains were slayed- very timely indeed. Its comparable to a Jame's Bond movie, except for one element!!! The entire movie doesn't not have anything sexual- except a steaming kissing scene of Maggie and Gabriel.
First Food for thought. Would it happen here? As our country moves towards everything controlled by electronics, computer and technology (wireless@SG) ? Some one with malicious intent can in fact become "God" and destroy every infra-structure over night and bring the society into "Stone Age"?

Second Food for thought. The whole scenario could be avoided, if they took Gabriel's (the villain of this movie) advise and cover the loop holes. Read in Friday's TODAY, page 21, Undercover operation reveals US security flaws. Its scary to think that indeed all these issues are pretty real. If they didn't heed the warning that was being sound and try to cover up due to pride -"face". It could be disastrous, as any Tom, Dick and Harry can just get hold of radioactive materials... The consequences are just unimaginable.
Pretty heavy duty stuff, should just sit back and enjoy the movie after a long day and not think too much???
LOL, well its all the fun about movies. Not everyone can be Hero. But when one day your calling come, will you stand up to the heat? Will you make that sacrifice when necessary???
I hope I do have that seed of Die Hard Operation Spirit... Fight the good fight even against great odds!
