"From effectiveness to greatness- Size does matters after all" ^.-

Its been a while since I last blogged.

I considered this quite healthy, being a Mr Cellophane, once or twice a month is good enough. Nothing to bare, not a good joke teller, can't cook- don't expect to find any katong laksa receipe here, poor command of language (don't expect too much from a C6-er) and just ordinarily plain (worst of all, nobody even bother to hack into my blog) ke ke ke.

A week ago, my friend Chee Sern came back from Mumbai (good thing he's back before the flooding... phew...though he claims that he go all the way there to experience the monsoon and was disappointed) He even got me a book by Steven R. Covey titled "The 8th Habbit- from effectiveness to greatness". I was trilled, (jokingly) who says SIZE doesn't matters? ^.-

Jokes aside, its a pretty good book, even though I just barely begin. Reading the introduction is already humbling enough. The mountain climbing spirit. Ha ha... Chee Sern just jio me to climb Mt Kintabalu and I seriously rejected him, guess it proves that I do not process that spirit to conquer mountains. Is it a ploy of his to give me this book... hmmm... (rubbing chin) Ha ha... I can be as stubbon as a mountain.

Sorry bro, the exercise may be good for me but I am pinching pennies for my year end trip to HK. I prefer shopping and eating and shopping and eating over slapping mosquitos and sweating and slapping mosquitos and sweating...

Back to the introduction, sometimes really when we are too engrossed and we thought we have reached the top. Until we realise that there's more to it. We need to perserve to continue until we really reach the top. Life is like that... people may think that if only I reach here I will be satisfy but when they reach the destination only to find there's another destination awaiting... My philosophy is to learn to be contented with the birds in hand, doesn't mean to give up chasing birds in the air, but enjoy the process of life and not chase blindly...

Guess I getting the hang of life at workshop, still green but getting better... should give myself a pat on the shoulder... well can't do without good collegues. Reminded me of a book I picked up at Success bookshop- "The Customer comes Second" At one glance one may think how can this be? We all knows that "Customer is always right" kind of theory. The book actually narrates how the company survive the 911, quite an interesting read. And why the customer comes second???

I understands its a matter of perspective, to the employee customer always come first. But to the management, the employee must be first. So as to retain the talented and experienced emoployees. And in turn will be able to serve the customers better. Cool?!?!? Its quite applicable, you just got to know who your customer is huh? The boss's customer is the employees and the employees' customer is the company's customer.

Nowadays getting more and more chung hei liaoz... cut the craps now for another day... till then!!!
