Yup... Last monday, was the familarisation trial run for the NSC(Navy Sprint Challenge).
Its my first time swimming in the sea. Its quite an unique experience comparing with the usual pool session.
With the saltiness, the extra bouyancy and the waves... If not for this challenge, I wouldn't want to swim in our water. Its so mulky that you can't even see the fellow right infront.
But still, its quite trilling to try new stuff. 500m swim seems much longer due to the environmental factors, it took me 16 mins and 5s(1 min 30s more than my pool trial) to complete the swim and total time taken with the run 50 mins 59 s. Not very impressive, but still an accomplishment to finish and not give up half way. I can do it!
I would love to swim in cleaner water if given the opportunity in future. One day.
